Choose the starting point for your enquiry
- Repairs: an existing problem, such as lighting that has stopped working, a damaged socket or repeated loss of power.
- Installations: planned additions, replacements or alterations, including lighting, socket positions and wiring projects.
- Inspection: a request to assess existing electrical arrangements or discuss a particular report requirement.
The starting point matters because the information needed differs. A repair enquiry centres on what happened. An installation enquiry needs the intended result. For an inspection, explain why the assessment is needed and what you want included.
Related work within one project
A renovation might involve assessing existing wiring before agreeing alterations. An inspection enquiry might later lead to a separate repair request. Describe the connection between those jobs without assuming the outcome of an assessment.
Our electrical installations page covers project boundaries, existing arrangements and work that depends on other trades.
If you have several requirements, identify the immediate concern and the planned work separately. Mention rooms or parts of the premises involved, relevant records and access arrangements. You don’t need to choose a technical solution before getting in touch.
